The invention provides a double early warning large arm jacking type electric shovel and an early warning method, and the electric shovel comprises a displacement angle monitoring device which comprises a fixed connecting rod with the upper end connected with a rod body of a hinge ball and fixed on a large arm; the big arm is mounted on the side of the working chamber through a hinge shaft; the upper end of the movable connecting rod is connected with the other rod body of the hinge ball, and the lower end is connected with the sliding block; the sliding block penetrates through the fixed sliding rod; one end of the fixed sliding rod is a fixed part which is fixed on the hinge shaft; the angle sensor is fixed on the fixed connecting rod; and the displacement sensor is fixed on the fixed sliding rod and enables a measuring rod at the front end of the displacement sensor to be in contact with the sliding block. The emergency situation that the big arm is jacked up when the electric shovel encounters a hard obstacle in the tunneling process can be monitored, and the rotation angle and the displacement situation of the big arm can be effectively detected in real time.
