The invention provides self-waterproof concrete and a construction method thereof. The self-waterproof concrete is prepared from the following materials: cement, sand, aggregate, water, an additive and a waterproof agent, the aggregate is broken stone, and the waterproof agent is a polymer modifier; wherein the cement accounts for 10-15 parts; 25 to 35 parts of sand; 40 to 50 parts of broken stone; 10 to 15 parts of water; 5-10 parts of an additive; 1-5 parts of a polymer modifier; the additives comprise a plasticizer, a water reducing agent and an accelerator; the construction method comprises the following steps that firstly, materials are prepared; step 2, blending concrete; 3, stirring the concrete; fourthly, concrete is poured; and 5, curing the concrete. By arranging the polymer modifier, the compressive strength, tensile strength and durability of the concrete can be remarkably improved, pores and micro-cracks in the concrete can be filled, and the compactness and compactness of the concrete are improved, so that the water resistance and permeability resistance of the concrete are improved.
