The invention discloses a method for improving the strength of a tailing material by generating calcium carbonate precipitate through chemical induction, which comprises the following steps: drying the tailing material in a drying oven at 105 DEG C for 24 hours, slowly pouring a calcium chloride solution into the dried tailing material, uniformly mixing, and standing for 1 hour; slowly pouring the sodium carbonate solution into the mixture of the tailing material and the calcium chloride solution, uniformly stirring, and standing and curing for 24 hours after stirring. According to the method, a large number of calcium carbonate precipitates can be generated in the tailings, a large number of heavy metal ions and the calcium carbonate precipitates are subjected to a co-precipitation reaction, and the co-precipitates are extremely low in solubility and insoluble in flowing liquid, so that the method has a certain repairing effect on heavy metal pollution of the tailings.
