The invention discloses a construction device and method for an underground vertical sensing waterproof curtain, and belongs to the technical field of civil building construction. The construction device comprises a wall protection sleeve, a cutting mechanism, a gravity type guide wheel set, a waterproof curtain lowering mechanism, a driving hydraulic pump station and a sensing waterproof curtain; the cutting mechanism comprises two sets of cutting main machines correspondingly arranged at the top ends of the wall protecting sleeves, diamond ropes wound around the two sets of cutting main machines, and two sets of gravity type guide wheel set mechanisms capable of sliding in the wall protecting sleeves in a lifting mode. One section of the diamond rope is respectively sleeved on the two gravity type guide wheel groups to form a horizontal cutting part, and the depth of the diamond rope on the foundation to be constructed is adjusted along the lifting of the wall protecting sleeve along with the gravity type guide wheel groups; and the sensing waterproof curtain is wound on the waterproof curtain lowering mechanism and is laid along the wall protection sleeve along with the gravity type guide wheel set. The construction requirement for constructing waterproof curtains through deep and narrow vertical groove bodies in underground engineering is met, the construction cost is low, the efficiency is high, and the underground water body area is closed and isolated.
