The invention relates to an auxiliary device for bridge steel hoisting construction. The auxiliary device comprises a relay plate, a hook, a winding module, an attaching module, a leveling module and a linkage module. According to the method, the levelness of the steel box girder in the hoisting process is detected, in order to better show the detected hoisting angle of the steel box girder, the inclination states of the four corners of the steel box girder are mapped to the specific heights of the four hoisting steel cables correspondingly, the heights are limited, and the hoisting angle of the steel box girder can be better shown; according to four different heights possibly existing in the four hoisting steel cables, the hoisting steel cables are wound up to enable the heights to be located on the same horizontal plane so as to achieve angle adjustment of the steel box girders, butt joint work of the steel box girders is facilitated, and a large amount of adjustment time is saved.
