The bath has a plurality of bricks in contact with the molten metal, a box-shaped housing accommodating the plurality of bricks, and a refractory material having an unshaped shape disposed at a seam between the plurality of bricks, the bricks having the same main component as two of the refractory materials having the unshaped shape, and the refractory material having the unshaped shape having the same main component as the bricks having the same main component as the refractory material having the unshaped shape. The two main components are a component with the highest content and a component with the second higher content based on the mass of oxide.
