The invention discloses a construction method of a multi-box-chamber steel box girder. The construction method comprises the following construction steps that S1, an assembling platform used for assembling the steel box girder is erected at a preset position; s2, splicing a preset number of steel box girders, and welding the steel box girders to form a steel box girder assembly in a preset shape; s3, transporting the steel box girder assembly body in the preset shape to a girder erection area by adopting transportation equipment; s4, a beam feeding step is carried out on the steel box beam assembly body; s5, erecting the steel box girder assembly to a designed position by using a bridge girder erection machine; s6, the steps S2 to S5 are repeated, and erection of all the steel box girder assemblies is completed; s7, an operation platform used for assisting the bridge girder erection machine in installing the steel box girder is installed; s8, transverse partition plates between box chambers in the steel box girder assembly bodies are connected through high-strength bolts by means of the operation platform; s9, transverse seams of the adjacent steel box girder assembly bodies are connected in a welded mode through an operation platform; s10, beam bottom operation is conducted through the operation platform; and S11, after the inspection and acceptance are qualified, the operation platform used for assisting the bridge girder erection machine to install the steel box girder is dismantled.
