The excavation method comprises the steps that S1, a crawler vehicle body is driven to determine the hardness of a hard rock stratum; s2, drilling equipment is used for drilling the hard rock stratum so as to determine the needed foundation range; s3, a crushing device is used for crushing the hard rock stratum, and the crushing device in the crushing process is not prone to slipping in cooperation with the drill hole formed in the step S2; s4, the hard rock stratum is cut through cutting equipment, so that the purpose of excavation or foundation treatment is achieved; s5, cleaning broken stones formed in the steps S2, S3 and S4 by using cleaning equipment; and S6, the crawler body is driven to check and accept the hard rock stratum excavation result. Through cooperative use of the cutting equipment, the drilling equipment and the crushing device, the excavating effect of drilling, saw cutting and crushing can be achieved through single equipment at the same time, the purposes of crushing and excavating are achieved, and therefore the construction difficulty is reduced.
