The river-crossing cable sinking device comprises a shell and a load; wherein a plurality of round holes are formed in the surface of the shell, the shell is hollow to form a cavity, and the round holes are communicated with the cavity; a cable penetrating opening for a river-crossing cable to penetrate through is formed in the upper portion of the shell. The load is detachably filled in the cavity; when the river-crossing cable sinks, the load is loaded in the cavity, and when the river-crossing cable floats upwards, no load exists in the cavity. According to the river-crossing cable sinking device, the buoyancy of the river-crossing cable sinking device in water is adjusted through loading and unloading of loads, and rapid sinking and floating of a river-crossing cable are achieved.
