The invention discloses a watertight door capable of being rapidly opened and closed and a control method thereof.The watertight door comprises a door frame, a door leaf, a manual-automatic integrated control device and a locking device and is characterized in that the door frame is fixed through a fixing piece, one side end of the door leaf is movably connected with the door frame through a hinge, and the other side end of the door leaf is movably connected with the locking device; the locking device is connected with the door leaf and the door frame; the manual-automatic integrated control device comprises a driving mechanism fixed to the inner side of the door leaf, an inner hand wheel arranged on the inner side of the door leaf and an outer hand wheel arranged on the outer side of the door leaf. The internal hand wheel and the external hand wheel are connected through a manual shaft and rotate coaxially, and a central gear is arranged on the manual shaft located on the inner side of the door leaf; the locking device comprises a left connecting rod, a right connecting rod, a left transmission rod, a right transmission rod and a connecting rod assembly, and the manual shaft on the inner side of the door leaf is further provided with a gear shaft which is meshed with a left gear and a right gear respectively. The method is simple, reliable, rapid and convenient to operate.
