The invention relates to the technical field of aeration and cavitation reduction, and discloses a hydraulic machinery aeration and cavitation reduction device which comprises an aeration assembly and an air source, the aeration assembly comprises at least one set of spray heads communicated with the interior of a pipeline of a hydraulic machinery, and spray needles capable of moving in the airflow direction and conical nozzles are arranged in the spray heads; a conical part inserted into the nozzle is arranged on the spray needle, so that the effective air outlet area of the nozzle is adjusted through movement of the spray needle; the gas source is communicated with a spray head in the aeration assembly through a pipeline provided with an electronic metering control valve, and is used for providing gas flow with adjustable flow and stable output; in the hydraulic machinery air entrainment and corrosion reduction device, as the air source can provide air flow with stable flow through the electronic metering control valve, the flow velocity of the air flow can be adjusted by adjusting the effective contact area of the nozzle and the water flow in the pipeline under the condition that the flow is not changed; therefore, the phenomenon that the airflow cannot be injected into the water flow or even countercurrent is generated due to insufficient airflow velocity can be solved.
