According to the flexible intercepting structure and the construction method, the transverse steel strands and the longitudinal steel strands which are perpendicularly connected in a crossed mode are arranged between the I-shaped steel supporting columns, the flexible intercepting net is formed, impact of mountain high-position falling rocks on adjacent structures can be effectively prevented, and the situation that the structures are damaged after collapsed falling rocks climb over the flexible intercepting structure is avoided.
