The invention relates to the field of building materials, in particular to a building fire-fighting outer wall heat preservation structure and a construction method thereof. The heat preservation structure comprises a base plate, a cover plate and a locking strip. The base plate is provided with an end plate and a bearing plate. The end plate is arranged on the top edge of the base plate, the bearing plate and the end plate are arranged at intervals, and the bearing plate is provided with a stopping part which is located on the side, close to the end plate, of the bearing plate. The cover plate is provided with an extension plate. The extending plate is parallel to the top edge of the cover plate, and a matching part is arranged on the edge, away from the cover plate, of the extending plate and located on the side, close to the bottom edge of the cover plate, of the extending plate. The cover plate is of a hollow structure. The matching part is provided with an inner cavity, and a communicating hole for communicating the inner space of the cover plate with the inner cavity is formed in the extension plate. The end portion of the end, away from the cover plate, of the communicating hole is sealed by a cover body, the cover body is located in the inner cavity, the cover body and the inner wall of the inner cavity define a sound cavity, and the cover body is provided with sound holes to form a whistle structure. The system can effectively monitor the integrity of the system, and prompts and early warns the damage of the thermal insulation structure in time.
