A corner insert (102) for a formwork panel (100) is disclosed that includes a flat portion (302) adapted to align with a surface of the formwork panel. The corner insert (102) further includes an engagement portion (304) disposed below the flat portion (302) and adapted to be coupled to the formwork panel (100) to attach the corner insert (104) to the corner portion (104) of the formwork panel (100). In addition, the flat portion (302) is aligned with the surface of the formwork panel (100) in such a manner as to define a right angle on the formwork panel (100).
