A remote closing and opening system for an aircraft door, and a remote closing method. A system (1) for remotely closing and opening an aircraft door comprises a closing module (16) removably secured to an end (8) of an articulated arm (7) of a door to which a door leaf (5) is hinged, a closing module (17) removably secured to a structure (61) rigidly connected to a door frame (6), and a locking device (18) removably secured to the articulated arm (7). The closing module (17) is capable of alternately pulling the closing module (16) towards itself to move the door leaf (5) to the closed position and moving the closing module (16) away from itself to move the door leaf (5) to the open position. The locking device (18) allows the locking lever (13) to alternately move into an unlocked position to unlock the door leaf (5) and into a locked position to lock the door leaf (5). The system (1) enables a door (2) of an aircraft (AC) to be remotely closed.
