A cleaning device for a closestool water tank comprises a bottle body and a buoyancy plug. A containing cavity used for containing cleaning agents is formed in the bottle body, a flow guide hole and an air pressure hole are formed in the side wall of the containing cavity, and the air pressure hole is located above the flow guide hole. The buoyancy plug is mounted at the air pressure hole and can open or close the air pressure hole along with floating of the liquid level; when the liquid level of the water tank descends and is lower than the buoyancy plug, the buoyancy plug moves downwards under the influence of gravity to open the air pressure hole so as to maintain air pressure balance inside and outside the containing cavity, and liquid exchange can be conducted between the containing cavity and the water tank. When the liquid level of the water tank rises and is aligned with the buoyancy plug, the buoyancy plug moves upwards to close the air pressure hole to prevent the mixed liquid from passing through the air pressure hole; therefore, by means of the design, the opening and closing time of the air pressure hole can be controlled to block discharging and diffusion of the mixed liquid, and the problems that the cleaning agent is dissolved too fast and released too much are solved.
