The invention discloses a high-toughness quartzite plate and a preparation method thereof. The high-toughness quartzite plate comprises the following components in parts by weight: 47-63 parts of an inorganic material, 12-15 parts of unsaturated polyester resin, 5-11 parts of a toughening aid, 1-2 parts of an accelerant, 1-5 parts of a curing agent and 1-2 parts of a silane coupling agent. The toughening aid is prepared by compounding modified tetrapod-like zinc oxide whiskers, dibutyl phthalate, carbon fiber powder and polyester fibers, and the modified tetrapod-like zinc oxide whiskers, the silane coupling agent and the like act together, so that the compatibility with unsaturated polyester resin and other components is improved; by adding the dibutyl phthalate, the carbon fiber powder and the polyester fiber, the filling compactness among the raw materials is improved, so that the mechanical property of the quartz stone plate is further improved, the toughness of the quartz stone plate is improved, and the quartz stone plate is prevented from cracking and deforming.
