The invention relates to the field of tamping devices, in particular to a foundation tamping device which comprises a top plate, lifting mechanisms and a tamping hammer mechanism, vertical plates are installed at the lower ends of the two sides of the top plate, the lifting mechanisms used for adjusting the height of a tamping assembly are arranged on the side walls of the vertical plates, and the tamping hammer mechanism capable of rapidly disassembling and assembling the tamping assembly is installed between the lifting mechanisms. Before the tamping device is used, a clamping plate is pulled forwards and backwards to move outwards in a side groove, a side plate is driven to move outwards in a side groove, a hydraulic push rod and a second spring are extruded, the second spring generates potential energy, an insertion plate at the upper end of a hammer head is inserted into an insertion groove upwards, and therefore the hammer head is driven to be lifted upwards; the first spring releases potential energy to pull the transverse plate downwards, meanwhile, under the condition that the weight of the transverse plate and the weight of the hammer head are downward, the hammer head rapidly moves downwards to conduct ramming treatment on a foundation under the acceleration condition, and stable ramming operation is achieved.
