The invention provides an electric pole erecting device and method for power grid construction. The electric pole erecting device comprises a supporting frame arranged on the ground, a pivot shaft is rotationally arranged on the supporting frame, a fixing cylinder is arranged on the pivot shaft, a driving mechanism is arranged on the supporting frame, and the power output end of the driving mechanism is connected with the fixing cylinder; the driving mechanism is used for driving the fixing cylinder to turn over relative to the supporting plate with the pivot shaft as the axis, a detection rod is arranged at one end of the pivot shaft and is parallel to the axial direction of the fixing cylinder, a detection box is arranged on the supporting frame, a control mechanism is arranged on the supporting frame, and the control mechanism is electrically connected with the detection box and the driving mechanism. Through the arrangement of the detection box and the control mechanism electrically connected with the detection box and the driving mechanism, when it is detected that the fixed cylinder is vertically arranged, the driving mechanism is closed, so that the fixed cylinder is kept vertical; and by arranging the lifting assembly, the electric pole can be conveniently and vertically placed in the foundation pit to be fixed, the labor intensity of workers is greatly reduced, and meanwhile the burying efficiency of the electric pole is improved.
