The invention discloses a frequency method cable force calculation method for an unknown rotation constraint boundary inhaul cable. The method comprises the following steps: (1) according to engineering data, obtaining related parameters of the inhaul cable: inhaul cable linear density m, inhaul cable length L and inhaul cable flexural rigidity EI; (2) vibration signals of the inhaul cable are collected on site through a vibration sensor, and the frequency of the inhaul cable is obtained through analysis; (3) estimating the cable force T0 according to the hinged cables at the two ends through the fundamental frequency and related parameters of the cables; (4) estimating relative flexural rigidity xi according to the cable force T0; and (5) selecting a corresponding method to calculate the cable force T according to the relative flexural rigidity xi and the boundary condition of the inhaul cable, including a calculation method of the cable force of the consolidated inhaul cable and the consolidated-hinged inhaul cable obtained based on the frequency ratio, and the cable force of the boundary inhaul cable which is restrained by arbitrary rotation at the two ends of which xi is greater than or equal to 25 and less than or equal to 165. A practical new method is provided for cable force testing of inhaul cables, suspenders, suspension bridge anchor span cable strands and the like with indefinite end rotation constraint.
