The invention relates to a diversion canal and branch gate device for irrigation, which comprises a diversion canal module and a branch gate assembly, the diversion canal module comprises a linear module, a T-shaped module and a cross-shaped module, the branch gate assembly is matched with the T-shaped module or the cross-shaped module to realize canal diversion and blocking operation, and the end face of the diversion canal module is of an inverted trapezoidal structure. Notch grooves are formed in the two sides of the diversion canal module correspondingly, the grooving directions of the notch grooves in the two sides are opposite, one side is provided with an outward groove, and the other side is provided with an inward groove.
