The invention relates to the technical field of immersed tube tunnel construction, in particular to a widened inner formwork for an immersed tube and a construction method thereof.The widened inner formwork comprises an inner formwork system, and the inner formwork system comprises a middle section formwork and an outer side formwork which are arranged side by side; the inner formwork system further comprises a widened formwork, the widened formwork is arranged between the outer side formwork and the middle section formwork, the widened formwork can stretch out and draw back transversely, and the width of the cross section of the inner formwork system is adjusted through transverse stretching out and drawing back of the widened formwork. The widened formwork is additionally arranged between the outer side formwork and the middle section formwork, so that adjustment of the inner formwork system is achieved, then the inner formwork system can adapt to the construction requirement for increasing the cross section of the immersed tube, and due to the fact that the widened formwork can stretch out and draw back transversely, the width of the cross section of the inner formwork system is adjusted through transverse stretching out and drawing back of the widened formwork. The inner template system is suitable for more immersed tubes with different cross section widths, and the application range of the inner template system is expanded.
