The invention relates to a steel box girder vibration suppression device based on a memory alloy damper. The steel box girder vibration suppression device comprises a steel box girder web and a vibration suppression device body. The vibration suppression device comprises a rigid connecting rod and a novel SMS damper; four groups of vibration suppression device bodies are respectively mounted on the inner side of the steel box girder web; the rigid connecting rod is connected with a steel box girder web plate through welding; the novel SMS damper is connected with the rigid connector; the novel SMS damper is fixed on a web plate of the steel beam plate through a rigid connecting rod; the vibration suppression device is composed of a left connecting rod, an outer cylinder, a left pull plate, a clamp, an SMA wire, a fixing plate, a fixing bolt, a right pull plate, a spring guide rod, a push-pull rod, a cover plate, a spring, an adjusting spring, a lead block and a rear cover. According to the vibration suppression method of the vibration suppression device of the memory alloy damper, when a bridge is subjected to external excitation or vibrates, the memory alloy damper generates corresponding damping force through deformation of a memory alloy material, energy of a bridge vibration system is consumed, and therefore the amplitude and vibration response of the bridge are reduced.
