The invention discloses a preparation method and application of a porous inner core for a large ceramic core with high porosity and high strength. The preparation method of the inner core comprises the following steps: step 1, uniformly mixing inorganic powder; step 2, adding the mixed powder into a plasticizer to prepare slurry; 3, porous sponge is used as an inner core template; step 4, immersing an inner core template into the slurry, and shaping; 5, the shaped inner core template is rapidly dipped in the slurry for secondary shaping; 6, sintering the inner core green body subjected to secondary shaping; and 7, the sintered inner core is strengthened. By means of the method, the ceramic core which is high in porosity, high in strength and easy to separate out can be prepared, and the strength performance and the dissolution performance of large and heavy ceramic cores can be more flexibly regulated and controlled. In addition, the weight of the ceramic core can be greatly reduced, and the ceramic core industry is led to develop towards a lighter trend.
