The invention provides an energy-saving roasting process for a large-specification carbon electrode. The energy-saving roasting process comprises the following steps: burdening; pressing to form an electrode; roasting and heating; according to the 552-hour energy-saving roasting curve formed by the scheme, the temperature rise time of the curve is short and is shortened by 25% compared with 736 hours of a common roasting curve of a phi1146 electrode; however, the roasted product has the same technical index and use performance as the product with the long roasting curve; the energy consumption of the product is reduced by more than 25%, the roasting capacity is increased by more than 25.0% on the original basis, and the energy-saving short roasting curve is very beneficial to energy conservation and cost reduction of enterprises.
