The invention discloses a planting pool capable of automatically distinguishing and treating initial rainwater and subsequent rainwater. The planting pool comprises a box body, and the top wall of the box body is a latticed steel grate; a water falling cavity, an initial rainwater chamber, a follow-up rainwater chamber and a planting cavity are formed in the box body, a water passing opening communicated with the bottom of the water storage tank is formed in the left side wall of the box body, the water passing opening is connected with a water guide pipe, the water guide pipe is communicated with the initial rainwater falling structure, and an opening degree mechanical control mechanism is arranged at the water passing opening; when the water level in the initial rainwater chamber is low, the opening mechanical control mechanism controls the water passing opening to be fully opened, and in the rising process of the water level in the initial rainwater chamber, the opening mechanical control mechanism controls the water passing opening to be gradually closed. An initial rainwater and subsequent rainwater classification application technology suitable for the planting pool is designed, a technical route for classifying the initial rainwater and the subsequent rainwater is converted, and an electric control route which is high in setting cost and continuously has electric power cost and electronic element maintenance cost in use is changed into a mechanical control route which is low in cost. The device has the characteristic of quickly supplementing water to the soil and slowly supplementing water to the soil in the planting pond for a longer time by utilizing rainwater.
