The invention provides a display device of a construction machine and the construction machine. The construction machine is properly applied. The display device for the construction machine is provided with: a position information acquisition unit (43) for acquiring position information of the construction machine (100); a periphery information acquisition unit (31) that acquires periphery information indicating the boundary of an existing structure, topography, or a region around the position indicated by the position information of the construction machine; an enhanced image generation unit (32) that generates an enhanced image in which the boundary of the existing structure, terrain, or region is observed from a prescribed viewpoint for the construction machine; and a display processing unit (33) that displays an enhanced image (AR1) of the boundary of the existing structure, terrain, or region superimposed on a field of view observed from a predetermined viewpoint (E1) for the construction machine or an image (R1) of the field of view.
