The method for manufacturing the steel shell immersed tube joint comprises the following steps: manufacturing the steel shell tube joint in a dock or a tunnel dock of a shipyard; a water stop belt is installed on the end face of one end of the steel shell pipe joint; steel plate end sealing doors are installed at pipe joint cavity openings in the two ends of the steel shell pipe joint; opening the dock or the tunnel dock to discharge water; the steel shell pipe joint is hauled to a wharf of a construction site to be stopped; enabling the steel shell pipe joint to float on the sea surface by taking seawater of a wharf on a construction site as a construction platform for manufacturing the steel shell pipe joint to be immersed; according to the tunnel pier construction procedure, immersed tube supporting pier mechanisms are arranged at intervals in the length direction of the ocean steel shell immersed tube tunnel with a seabed as a foundation, and the opposite ends of every two adjacent steel shell tube joints share one immersed tube supporting pier mechanism. The method has the advantages that deep-sea tunnel construction difficulty is reduced; the construction period is shortened, and project cost and project investment are reduced.
