According to the construction method, an observation platform # imgabs0 #, an observation platform # imgabs1 #, a steel structure main beam, a steel structure secondary beam, an installation platform # imgabs2 #, an installation crawling ladder # imgabs3 #, a steel structure column # imgabs4 #, an installation crawling ladder # imgabs5 #, an observation platform # imgabs6 # and an observation platform # imgabs7 # are connected through the steel structure main beam and the steel structure secondary beam. The whole positioning has the advantages of being rapid, accurate and high in operability, the defects that a traditional steel structure column is low in positioning speed and low in positioning accuracy are overcome, and the steel structure installation efficiency is improved to a certain degree; the method is suitable for accurate positioning of (super) large steel structure columns adopted in steel structure engineering, and particularly suitable for rapid positioning of steel structure columns with the mass larger than 10 t and the height larger than 10 m. By means of a theodolite observation control method, positioning of the positioning axis, the datum point elevation, the steel structure column perpendicularity and the like of the steel structure column can be rapidly achieved only through cooperation of the jack, and the construction positioning efficiency of the steel structure column is greatly improved.
