According to the alkali-activated slag geopolymer prepared by the invention, the setting time can be effectively prolonged, the strength of the alkali-activated slag geopolymer is improved, the working performance and the mechanical performance are effectively balanced, and the technical bottleneck of application of the alkali-activated slag geopolymer in high-performance building materials is broken through. The coagulation time of the obtained sodium citrate retarded alkali-activated slag geopolymer is 15 min or above, the 7-day compressive strength is larger than or equal to 90 MPa, the preparation process is simple, and the sodium citrate retarded alkali-activated slag geopolymer has good application prospects and can be applied to high-performance building materials.
