The invention discloses a wall plastering leveling thickness control tool and method. The tool comprises a base used for being fixedly bonded to a wall. A length-adjustable vertical rod is arranged on the base; the end part of the vertical rod is connected with the back surface of a standard plate; the front surface of the standard plate is a plastered and leveled thickness control surface; wall-attached connecting pieces for pressing the whole tool on a wall surface are distributed on the periphery of the standard plate; when the calibrated scale is installed, the front face of the calibrated scale is flush with the thickness control face, and the length of the calibrated scale extending out of the standard plate is adjustable. The standard plate is provided with a pull rope connecting structure used for being connected with a pull rope, and the pull rope is located on the thickness control face during connection. The plastering leveling thickness can be accurately controlled, the plastering leveling thickness is not influenced by artificial experience, construction of small-range area plastering leveling, large-range area plastering leveling, layered plastering and internal and external corner plastering can be carried out, and the construction efficiency is high.
