The invention discloses an asphalt pavement upheaval inspection method, which comprises the following steps of: detecting the vertical acceleration of a detection vehicle by additionally arranging an acceleration sensor, calculating the height and the volume of an upheaval by combining a measured numerical value with parameters such as vehicle speed and the like, and comparing with a preset threshold value to judge the grade of the upheaval so as to judge a maintenance method. The method can reduce the cost, is used for normalized detection, and is not influenced by the climate environment.
