The invention relates to the technical field of buildings, and discloses a Lingnan dwelling reinforcing structure which comprises a wall body, a roof, a steel roof truss, a foundation and a plurality of supporting steel columns, the wall body comprises two first side walls arranged oppositely and two second side walls arranged oppositely, and each first side wall comprises a black brick wall and a grey plastic wall which are sequentially connected from bottom to top; the inner side and the outer side of the grey plastic wall are respectively provided with a mural painting and grey plastic; the steel roof truss covers the top side of the wall body, and the roof is arranged on the top side of the steel roof truss; the foundation is arranged along the bottom of the inner side of the second side wall, the multiple supporting steel columns are arranged above the foundation at intervals and extend in the vertical direction, the bottoms of the supporting steel columns are connected with the foundation, and the tops of the supporting steel columns are connected with the steel roof truss. The invention further provides a construction method, the outer surfaces of the Lingnan dwellings are kept unchanged while the Lingnan dwellings are reinforced, and the cultural value of historical buildings is reserved to a great extent.
