The present invention provides a method of improving the logistics of product delivery if a consumer arrives at a facility with a vehicle (602) to directly pick up reserved goods from a warehouse facility (600) comprising an automated storage and retrieval system (1). One or more cameras (610) with optical character recognition capabilities are provided. The first camera reads a first initial identification of a license plate number of a consumer vehicle when arriving at a region (606) of a warehouse facility. The primary read triggers the initiation of a series of steps of integrating and transporting the delivery parcel to a consumer pick-up room (604), which may include an automatic pick-up door (605). When the consumer arrives at a specific parking space adjacent to a specific pick-up room (604), a second camera reads the license plate for second identification, and transmits the information to a control system (500) of the automatic storage and pick-up system.
