Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed for a fence system having an impact resistant crossbar supported by a floor mounted pillar base. An apparatus includes an outer body of a post extending upwardly from a ground surface, the post anchored to the ground surface; a crossbar extending through an opening in a wall of the outer body; and a rod extending upward from the ground within the outer body, the rod extending through an aperture in the crossbar.
