The invention discloses a preparation method of a periclase-forsterite complex-phase refractory raw material. The preparation method comprises the following steps: A, pretreating a magnesite raw material: drying, crushing and screening high-silicon magnesite or reverse flotation magnesite tailings; b, selecting magnesite raw material fuel: taking coal or coke as fuel; c, performing high-temperature sintering on the magnesite raw material: calcining the raw material by using a shaft kiln at the calcining temperature of more than 1500 DEG C; the high-silicon magnesite and the reverse flotation magnesite tailings which are used as solid waste accumulation are used as raw materials, the periclase-forsterite complex-phase refractory raw material is prepared through one-step calcination, the utilization rate of magnesite resources is increased, and the complex-phase refractory raw material which is larger than 10 micrometers in grain size, larger than 2.69 g/cm < 3 > in volume density and excellent in performance is obtained. The complete preparation process for preparing the periclase-forsterite multiphase refractory material from the high-silicon magnesite or reverse flotation magnesite tailings is formed, and green and intelligent new upgrading of the magnesite industry is promoted.
