Inertial safety system for vehicle door handle
The present invention relates to an inertial system (14) for a vehicle door handle assembly (10) comprising a locking device configured to prevent actuation of a door handle (12) upon activation and a first inertial mass. When subjected to an acceleration force acting in a first acceleration direction, the first inertial mass is configured to move in a first movement direction from a rest position allowing opening of the door by actuation of the door handle (12) to a locking position activating the locking means. The inertial system (14) further comprises a second inertial mass configured to move in a second direction of movement when subjected to an acceleration force acting in a first direction of acceleration opposite the first direction of acceleration and configured to move in a second direction of movement when subjected to an acceleration force acting in a second direction of acceleration opposite the first direction of acceleration. The door handle (12) is moved from a rest position allowing opening of the door by actuation of the door handle (12) to a locking position activating the locking means. The first movement direction is opposite to the second movement direction.

Inertial safety system for vehicle door handle
The present invention relates to an inertial system (14) for a vehicle door handle assembly (10) comprising a locking device configured to prevent actuation of a door handle (12) upon activation and a first inertial mass. When subjected to an acceleration force acting in a first acceleration direction, the first inertial mass is configured to move in a first movement direction from a rest position allowing opening of the door by actuation of the door handle (12) to a locking position activating the locking means. The inertial system (14) further comprises a second inertial mass configured to move in a second direction of movement when subjected to an acceleration force acting in a first direction of acceleration opposite the first direction of acceleration and configured to move in a second direction of movement when subjected to an acceleration force acting in a second direction of acceleration opposite the first direction of acceleration. The first movement direction is opposite to the second movement direction.
