The invention discloses a method for preventing geological disasters of a mountain slope, which is used for controlling a shielding device, the shielding device is arranged along a protected half slope, the shielding device can be automatically switched between an open state and a closed state, when the shielding device is in the open state, the protected half slope can receive rainwater, and when the shielding device is in the closed state, the protected half slope can receive the rainwater. When the shielding device is in a closed state, the shielding device can cover a protected half slope to shield rainwater. The method for preventing the geological disaster of the mountain slope comprises the steps that corresponding weather prediction information is obtained based on position information of the protected half slope; and controlling the shielding device to switch between an open state and a closed state based on the weather prediction information, and controlling the shielding device to be in the open state in the predicted non-rainfall stage and in the closed state in the predicted rainfall stage. According to the method for preventing the geological disaster of the mountain slope, the state of the shielding device can be switched according to the predicted weather condition, rainwater is prevented from falling on the protected half slope, and landslide caused by the fact that the moisture content of the half slope is too large is avoided.
