A pyramid building for gravity energy storage comprises a building body. A storage area and a functional layer arranged above the storage area are arranged in the building body, the gravity blocks located in the storage area are carried to the functional layer through a lifting mechanism to store energy, and the gravity blocks located in the functional layer are carried to the storage area through the lifting mechanism to release energy. The building body is of a big-end-down pyramid structure.
