The invention relates to a method for preparing unequal-ratio rare earth zirconate powder by a precursor granulation method. The invention relates to the technical field of thermal barrier coatings. The method comprises the following steps: S1, accurately proportioning according to a molar ratio in a molecular formula, mixing a rare earth source and a zirconium source to prepare a solution A and a solution B, and uniformly mixing the solution A and the solution B; s2, dropwise adding the mixed solution obtained in the step S1 into ammonia water or an ammonium oxalate solution, and continuously stirring to generate a flocculated precipitate; s3, obtaining a precursor by using a ceramic membrane separation technology and a filter pressing method; s4, carrying out size mixing treatment on the precursor obtained in the step S3 through an acidifying agent, and carrying out spray granulation to obtain precursor spherical powder; and S5, calcining the precursor spherical powder obtained in the step S4 at high temperature to obtain the spherical unequal-ratio rare earth zirconate powder. The preparation method disclosed by the invention is more efficient, is suitable for large-scale industrial production, and opens up a new way for preparing the unequal-ratio rare earth zirconate powder.
