The hanging basket for cable-stayed bridge girder construction comprises a hanging basket platform, stand columns are arranged on the front side and the rear side of the hanging basket platform, and driving assemblies are arranged on the stand columns; the driving assembly comprises a guiding frame, and the guiding frame is fixed to a poured bridge. A sliding plate and a supporting plate which are connected with the guide frame in a sliding mode are arranged in the guide frame, a connecting plate is connected to the upper portion of the supporting plate in a sliding mode, and the connecting plate is movably connected with the guide frame in an inserted mode through a limiting rod; the supporting plate is movably connected with the sliding plate through a driving hydraulic rod; the sliding plate is connected with the stand columns in an inserted mode through the positioning columns. A bearing assembly is arranged on the stand column. The hanging basket platform is provided with a positioning assembly used for positioning the poured bridge and the hanging basket platform. The invention further discloses a using method of the hanging basket for cable-stayed bridge girder construction. The problem that an existing hanging basket is pushed through a jack in the moving process, and the jack needs to be disassembled and assembled many times, so that the moving speed of the hanging basket is low is solved.
