Process plant for converting solid input material into solid process product
The invention relates to a process plant (20) for converting a solid input material into a solid process product. The process plant (20) comprises a calcining furnace connected to a heat exchanger (26) to which the input material can be continuously supplied for heating in order to convert the input material into an intermediate product. A kiln for converting the intermediate product into the process product by heat treatment is present in the process plant (20), in which a feed gas is generated. The process plant (20) has a feed gas line system (50) comprising a feed gas line (50.1) extending from the kiln to the calcining furnace and through which the feed gas is able to flow from the kiln into the calcining furnace to transfer feed gas heat to the input material and comprises cooling means for cooling the feed gas from the kiln to the calcining furnace. And a cooling device for cooling the process product by transferring heat from the process product to an oxygen-containing cooling gas after the thermal treatment is performed in the kiln, the result of the cooling being generation of an oxygen-containing hot gas. According to the invention, in the process plant (20) there is an exhaust gas purification device for oxidizing the feed gas, which is connected to the calcining furnace via a feed gas line system (50) to which a hot gas line system for supplying the hot gas generated from the cooling device is attached. The invention also relates to a method for converting a solid input material into a solid process product and to a method for purifying a feed gas generated in a cement production process.
