The invention provides a rain grate device for purifying rainwater and a use method of the rain grate device. The rain grate device comprises a water collecting tank, a water storage tank and a water storage tank, wherein the water collecting tank is arranged to a mounting groove at a rainwater wellhead; the transition water tank is connected to the bottom surface of the water collecting tank and comprises a second tank body which is communicated with the first tank body, the width of the second tank body in the left-right direction is smaller than that of the first tank body, and the second tank body is matched with the catch basin in shape and size so that a side plate of the second tank body can abut against the well wall of the catch basin; the flow guide mechanism is arranged in the second box body, can rotate around a rotating shaft arranged in the front-back direction and is used for randomly changing the flowing path of rainwater; the water filtering tank is connected to the bottom surface of the transition water tank, comprises a first purification mechanism, a second purification mechanism and a third purification mechanism which are arranged in the inner space of the third tank body at intervals at an inclined angle from top to bottom and divide the inner space, and is mounted to the third tank body in a drawable manner along the corresponding inclined direction. The rain grate device provided by the invention is convenient to use and not easy to block.
