The invention relates to a donor and acceptor co-doped barium titanate system dielectric ceramic with high stability and high breakdown field strength and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing powder from raw materials according to the composition and molar ratio: based on 100 mol% of BaTiO3, adding 0.1 to 0.3 mol% of Yb2O3 or Gd2O3, 4 to 7 mol% of NaNbO3 or KNbO3, 2 to 5 mol% of ZnO and 0.4 to 0.8 mol% of CaZrO3, and grinding and drying the prepared powder to obtain prefabricated powder; dropwise adding PVA, mixing, grinding and granulating to obtain granulated powder; and then carrying out compression molding, glue discharging and high-temperature sintering to obtain a ceramic capacitor sample. The ceramic sample is of a single perovskite structure, and the temperature stability reaches the X8R standard; the room-temperature relative dielectric constant epsilon r is more than 4000; the breakdown field strength Eb is larger than 14 kV/mm, and the ceramic material has great application potential.
