The invention discloses a water surface garbage catching device for environmental engineering. The water surface garbage catching device comprises a catching body, a collecting assembly and a recycling assembly. The capturing main body comprises a storage rack and two groups of floating bodies; the collecting assembly comprises collecting plates, a first rotating sleeve and a first rotating rod, and the collecting plates on the two sides synchronously rotate towards the inner side, so that garbage on the water surface is gathered towards the middle position of the front end of the capturing main body, and the garbage enters a working area of the recycling assembly; the recycling assembly comprises a recycling box, a recycling plate, a second rotating sleeve and a second rotating rod, the recycling plate rotates along with the second rotating rod, and the recycling plate rotates from the water surface to the upper end, so that garbage on the water surface at the front end is scooped up, and the recycling plate rotates into the recycling box on the rear side along with the recycling plate; according to the water surface garbage collection device, simultaneous control over the collection operation and the recovery operation is achieved through the first motor, the structure is more reasonable and ingenious, manpower and material resources are saved, and meanwhile the cleaning efficiency is improved.
