The invention relates to the technical field of ceramic tiles, in particular to a gradient colorful ceramic tile and a preparation method and application thereof. The gradient colorful ceramic tile comprises a biscuit, a glaze layer arranged on the biscuit and a dry particle layer arranged on the glaze layer, the dry particle layer comprises colorful particles and transparent frits; the colorful particles are obtained by treating elongated stone raw ore with a treating fluid; the treating fluid comprises the following raw materials: sulfuric acid and a metal chloride solution, and the volume ratio of the sulfuric acid to the metal chloride solution is (1-2): 1. According to the ceramic tile prepared in the invention, the elongated stone raw ore is subjected to processing and purification treatment and then is applied to preparation of the glaze surface, and the surface of the ceramic tile shows sapphire gradient colorful metallic luster.
