The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a vertical acceleration signal of a target vehicle in a driving process on a target unit road section of a first road; performing Hilbert-Huang transform on the vertical acceleration signal corresponding to the target unit road section to obtain a Hilbert spectrum of the vertical acceleration signal; and determining a pavement quality detection result of the target unit road section according to the Hilbert spectrum of the target unit road section and a neural network model, and determining a pavement quality detection result of the first road based on the pavement quality detection result of the target unit road section. The road surface quality detection can be performed through the vertical acceleration signal of the vehicle acquired by the sensor, so that the detection cost is saved, the automatic monitoring of the road surface quality can be realized in the vehicle driving process, and the detection efficiency is improved.
