The invention discloses an assembly type side slope vibration compaction machine and a compaction method. The assembly type side slope vibration compaction machine comprises a road roller, a dowel bar and a vibration wheel. A road roller is arranged on each of an upper road surface and a lower road surface of a side slope, a mode that the upper road roller and the lower road roller of the side slope pull a dowel bar and a vibration wheel is adopted, and vibration is transmitted to the vibration wheel from a vibration roller by the dowel bar; the upper road roller and the lower road roller are driven to synchronously move in the length direction of the side slope, and long-distance side slope vibration compaction is achieved; by adjusting the limiting point position of the vibration wheel on the dowel bar, the vertical position on the slope can be adjusted, and large-area vibration compaction of the high slope is achieved; by adjusting the distance between the upper road roller and the slope and the distance between the lower road roller and the slope, it can be guaranteed that the vibration wheels can be well attached to the slope, and the good compaction effect is achieved. Based on the measures, vibration is transmitted to the vibrating wheel through the dowel bar by the road roller, so that the construction cost is reduced and the construction efficiency is improved while the vibration compaction quality of the side slope is improved.
