The invention relates to a magnesium zirconium phosphate solid electrolyte target of a thin-film magnesium battery, a preparation method and the thin-film magnesium battery, and belongs to the technical field of magnesium batteries. Comprising the following steps: mixing magnesium salt powder with phosphorus pentoxide and zirconium oxide powder to obtain mixed powder; putting the mixed powder into a closed ball milling tank, mixing with zirconium oxide balls, adding a dispersing agent, continuously mixing, and carrying out ball milling; then adding a binder into the ball milling tank, and continuing ball milling; sieving the ball-milled synthetic powder with a 500-mesh sieve, pouring the sieved synthetic powder into a vibration mold, and pressurizing to form a mold-pressed blank; putting the blank into a cold isostatic press, pressurizing and maintaining the pressure to obtain a magnesium zirconium phosphate solid electrolyte target blank subjected to cold isostatic pressing; and putting the magnesium zirconium phosphate solid electrolyte target blank into an atmosphere sintering furnace or a vacuum sintering furnace, carrying out multi-section heat preservation, and naturally cooling to room temperature along with the furnace to obtain the magnesium zirconium phosphate solid electrolyte target of the thin-film magnesium battery. The solid electrolyte target material disclosed by the invention is uniform in component and convenient for thin film deposition.
