The invention provides an automatic blowdown system and method for an automatic driving cleaning and sweeping vehicle, and the automatic blowdown system comprises a decision controller, an upper controller and a combined inertial navigation system which are disposed on the head of the automatic driving cleaning and sweeping vehicle, and a first sensor and a second sensor which are disposed on a dustbin of the automatic driving cleaning and sweeping vehicle. The combined inertial navigation system is connected with the decision controller, and the decision controller communicates with the loading controller; and if the dustbin is full, the loading controller informs the decision controller, the decision controller controls the automatic driving washing and sweeping vehicle to return to an automatic pollution discharge point through the combined inertial navigation system, and the loading controller controls the dustbin door to be opened and lifts the dustbin body to discharge pollution and automatically clean the dustbin. Full-automatic operation of the automatic driving sweeping vehicle is achieved, and the automation degree of the automatic driving sweeping vehicle is improved.
